[edit] Adding Pages to the top links menu

Image:Sf_links.png

To add links to the top info menu in shopfitter select the 'links' tab and highlight the file you want in the 'Menu Links' list and select 'Add' it will appear in the 'Link item' window, you can add upto 10 items here, and also reorder them using the arrow keys, I would always add the 'home' page first, then other info pages e.g. terms, delivery, contact us etc.

A useful hidden feature is that you can now highlight the 'Link Item' name and edit it - so if you have added 'home' and want 'Home' to display just click on the name and edit it.

If you add a new info page in shopfitter and then go to the 'links' tab to add it to the menu, it will not appear in the 'Menu Links' list, to get the new page to show you will have to close the shop and open it again - so either close the whole application or switch between shops (ie open the demo shop) this forces shopfitter to update its shop items list.

If you want to add an external link use the #link# button to enter the link text and url address.

Most of the default items are in English, however, if you want to change the names of the links to another language then simply:

  • click on the link to be changed so it highlights,
  • click again so that the text becomes editable (as shown in the image on the right)
  • then make your change.

Finally, move on to the next thing you wish to do.
