Losing Shipping charge in first zone

In older shops updated to shopfitter4 some have lost the 1st shipping zone settings, a fix to solve this is to add a blank zone as zone 1 in your shipping settings.

So rename your zone 1 shipping to be 'blank' and then exclude it, this 'protects' your first shipping and is not displayed.

Now you can put in your shipping in zone 2 onwards.

Related products not displaying - FIXED 27th January

Sometimes the related products will not display correctly if multiple ones are selected - we are working on a fix for this.

Example:

Demo shop - Product Lark has 3 related products

A full publish only shows 1 related product.

A mini publish of Lark displays all 3 related products correctly.

Related products duplicated in site search results - FIXED 27th January

If you have the same product in multiple related products, or in multiple categories it is also duplicated in the search results.

Keys file not updated when restoring from an Archive

If you restore a shop from an earlier backup file, the keys file is not updated - I was sent a newer version of a shop and it had more products in it - when I checked the keys file - this was still the same as my original shop - so I could have overwritten some products and categories if I had not checked it.

Index file not updated when restoring from an Archive

If you restore a shop from an earlier backup file, the index file is not updated - other info page seem to update correctly. So the index.info page is not updated.

Strange symbols in the product link on the cart page - and link broken

If you use the / symbol in a product name this will break the return link and name displayed on the cart page, please use a - instead until a fix is available.

Exclusion - oddities

If you exclude a category - this disappears from the shop build (it will not be in the main web menu) BUT any products inside that category will still be made - and can only be found using the shop search, so if you want to exclude a main category and the products in it - first exclude all the products and then the category.

If you exclude a sub-category the link to it in the main category is still shown - but the sub-category itself will not be generated so this leaves a dead link. So you cannot exclude sub-categories - they will have to be deleted.

• Category menu styling - allowing subcategories to be listed within the main category menu

• Order confirmation e-mails - user configurable settings, more information making them usable as an invoice Updated

• Search - improved search parameters, such as by name, date, value etc.
• Reports - the ability to generate reports from the sales data and export as a CSV or XLS file
• Referrer info - addition of a 'where did you hear about us?' field ADDED
• Shipping zone selected - record and display the zone selected at cart stage in the order details.

Other Services

• New shopping mall - extend the functionality and improve submission. Shopfitter 4 already creates a file (rss2.xml) that we can use to automatically create product entries into a shopping portal. The intention is to create a big shopping site that lists product details, images, prices and then links back to your own webshop product page. Note: our user Pennine Tea and Coffee are currently top of this list, possibly because they accept Google Checkout payments.
